[Class 78 (iv)] In a pallet for handling loads'comprising a deck portion of lattice form and leg members secured at their upper ends to the deck, tie members and brace members are secured to the lower ends of the leg members, each being connected to a plurality of leg members, the tie members extending longitudinally of the pallet and the brace members transversely. In the embodiment shown, the pallet comprises a platform 10 built up from wires 11, 12 welded together and stiffened at their edges by wires 13, 14, legs 16 consisting of U-shaped rods welded to the platform and reinforced by rods 17 welded to the sides of the legs and to the platform, and tie rods 18 welded to the legs 16 and bent upwardly at 19 to form braces for the legs. Bracing and supporting plates 21 are welded to the tie rods 18.
