The furniture has base (2), support frame (3), seat (4) and rear seat back (5) arranged in main structure (1). The seat is mounted in restricted longitudinal movement on frame, such that rear low sitting position is variable in front raised rest position. A foot portion (13) is supported at or near the seat in a state remote from seat front edge (14) in vertical distance from the base. The foot portion is moved along longitudinal direction when seat is moved from sitting position into resting position, so that foot portion top is inclined relative to seat top in rest position.
