Nanostructure assemblies, methods and devices thereof

Disclosed herein are methods for assembling nanostructures. The assembling methods include contacting the plurality of nanostructures to a substrate having one or more discontinuities. At least a portion of the plurality of nanostructures assemble adjacent to the discontinuity, the assembled nanostructures including at least one nanostructure having a bridging, molecule. Devices, such as field-effect transistors, are also disclosed.

1. A method, comprising:
providing a plurality of nanostructures; providing a substrate comprising at least one discontinuity; contacting the plurality of nanostructures to the substrate, wherein at least a portion of the plurality of nanostructures assemble adjacent to the discontinuity, the assembled nanostructures including at least one nanostructure comprising a bridging molecule; and removing excess nanostructures that are adjacent to the substrate and not adjacent to the discontinuity.
