A driving circuit driving a display panel, the driving circuit comprising: a source driving circuit configured to apply a source driving voltage to a source line of the display panel; a common voltage driving circuit configured to alternately apply a first common voltage and a second common voltage higher than the first common voltage to a common electrode of the display panel; and a control circuit configured to apply at least one first external voltage to the source line before the source driving voltage is applied to the source line and configured to apply at least two second external voltages to the common electrode at different times within a same period before the first common voltage is applied to the common electrode or the second common voltage is applied to the common electrode, wherein, after the first external voltage and the at least two second external voltages have been applied, voltages of the source line and the common electrode are different, wherein the at least two second external voltages are applied to the common electrode toward producing a same polarity relative to at least one pixel in the display panel.
