A light-condensing means and a pixel electrode may be formed on the same surface side of a substrate, and a region transmitting visible light in the pixel electrode may be provided so as to overlap with an optical axis of the light-condensing means. An anisotropic light-condensing means having a condensing direction X and a non-condensing direction Y may be used, and the light-condensing means may be provided so that the non-condensing direction Y corresponds to a longitudinal direction of the region transmitting visible light in the pixel electrode. |

1. A liquid crystal display device comprising:
a first anisotropic light-condensing means over a substrate; a second anisotropic light-condensing means over the substrate; a transistor comprising a semiconductor layer between the first anisotropic light-condensing means and the second anisotropic light-condensing means, wherein the semiconductor layer does not overlap with the first anisotropic light-condensing means or the second anisotropic light-condensing means; a planarization layer over the transistor; a color filter over and in contact with a top surface and part of side surfaces of one of the first anisotropic light-condensing means and the second anisotropic light-condensing means; and a pixel electrode connected to the transistor, wherein the pixel electrode includes a first region and a second region, wherein the first region is light reflective and the second region transmits visible light, and wherein the second region overlaps with the color filter, the first anisotropic light-condensing means, and the second anisotropic light-condensing means. |
