The invention relates to high-reactivity polyurethane compositions which contain uretdione groups and cure at low baking temperatures, to a process for the preparation and to their use for producing coating materials, especially surface coatings and adhesives, and also plastics.

1. A polyurethane composition comprising:
A) 5% to 99% by weight of the composition, a polyurethane compound which comprises a uretdione group,
wherein
the polyurethane compound A) consists of a reaction product of at least one of an aliphatic polyisocyanate comprising a uretidione group, a (cyclo)aliphatic polyisocyanate comprising a uretidione group, and a cycloaliphatic polyisocyanate comprising a uretidione group with at least one of a dialcohol, trialcohol and tetraalcohol,a free NCO content of the polyurethane compound A) is less than 5% by weight, anda uretdione content of the polyurethane compound A) is 2% to 25% by weight, and B) 0.2% to 5% by weight of the composition of at least one catalyst selected from the group consisting of a quaternary ammonium acetylacetonate and a phosphonium acetylacetonate.
