PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely select a channel for a high-resolution reception service for an emergency alert broadcast on detecting the emergency alert broadcast through a low-resolution reception service even when a plurality of high-resolution reception services are included in one physical channel and a high-resolution reception service providing no emergency alert broadcast is included therein.SOLUTION: A control part of a broadcast receiver 1 controls an AV data output part 14 when a second reception part 19 detects an emergency alert broadcast being delivered through a specific service so as to separate one service by a separation part 12 from other services of the same physical channel with the specific service, to search for an emergency information descriptor in information in the service, to repeat those processes until an emergency information descriptor is found, to separate a service that the emergency information descriptor indicates by the separation part 12 once the emergency information descriptor is found, and to decode and output AV data of the emergency alert broadcast in a digital broadcast signal of a channel being selected by a first reception part 11. |
