PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED type projector which emits a large amount of light, irradiates a predetermined irradiation range with light highly efficiently, and has a simple constitution.SOLUTION: A light source of the projector is a plurality of LED 2. The LED 2 of the number corresponding to required amount of light are arranged on a metal substrate 3 of preferable conductivity such as copper. A reflector 6 has a quadrangular shaped cross-section and is disposed so as to surround the LED 2. The reflector 6 includes light condensing portion 6A which expands light of the LED 2 to four sides toward outside at a first angle α at which the light of the LED 2 is condensed, and an irradiation portion 6B which is linked to the light condensing portion 6A and expands the light at a second angle &bgr; smaller than the first angle α at which the light is applied to a predetermined irradiation range E in accordance with a required irradiation distance. A heat sink 7 comprises a heat sink main body 7A which closely fixes the substrate 3 and a plurality of fins 7B of flat plate shape disposed with a predetermined interval which is small as much as possible, and in parallel with the heat sink main body 7A. |
