PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device, a machine tool, and a control method which are capable of improving processing efficiency.SOLUTION: The control device includes a first control unit (control unit 81) which performs control to move an object to a prescribed position by sequentially reading and outputting a plurality of movement instructions, and a second control unit (an A-axis drive control unit 86 and a C-axis drive control unit 87) which performs open loop control of driving of a power supply source (an A-axis motor 36 and a C-axis motor 60) for supplying power to the object, on the basis of the movement instructions outputted from the first control unit. The control unit 81 determines whether a detection position detected by a detector (encoders 36e and 60e) provided in the power supply source to detect the position of the object exists within a prescribed first range or not and, if the detection position is determined to exist within the first range, reads the next instruction. The second control unit determines whether the detection position detected by the detector exists within a second range different from the first range or not and, if the detection position is determined to exist within the second range, stops driving of the power supply source. |
