PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize a focus detection pixel interpolation even when using an interchangeable lens unable to acquire lens information.SOLUTION: An image pickup element 14 has a plurality of image pickup pixels and a plurality of focus detection pixels, images a subject image to be formed by an imaging lens 24 and obtains a Bayer array image. An nonvolatile memory 12 stores a position of the focus detection pixel, respectively, and further stores a pixel value of the focus detection pixel by relating to a parameter to be used in interpolating the focus detection pixel, using a pixel value of the image pickup pixel in a periphery of the pixel value of the focus detection pixel for each lens condition. A lens communication detection section 17 detects whether data communication between an interchangeable lens 15 and the lens communication detection section is possible. When it is detected that the communication is impossible, a lens condition display section 19 displays a setting screen of the lens condition on a display section. A lens condition setting section 20 sets a lens condition selected on the basis of a touch operation from a touch panel 22. An AF pixel interpolation section 40 determines the parameter on the basis of information stored in the nonvolatile memory 12 on the basis of the set lens condition, and interpolates the pixel value of the image pickup pixel with respect to the position of the focus detection pixel, using the determined parameter. |
