PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam attemperator capable of decreasing temperature of steam with a simple configuration in less-expensive manner.SOLUTION: An inlet port 5 of a vortex tube 2 is connected to a steam pipe 1 through an automatic control valve 7. A temperature decreasing steam pipe 3 is connected to a lower part of the vortex tube 2 and connected to steam application equipment 4. A temperature sensor 9 for detecting a temperature of temperature decreased steam is fixed to the temperature decreasing steam pipe 3. A taking-out pipe 6 for high temperature steam is connected to an upper part of the vortex tube 2. An automatic control valve 8 is fixed to the taking-out pipe 6. Steam flowing down from the steam pipe 1 into the vortex tube 2 is whirled in eddy form within the vortex tube 2, the steam of increased temperature is discharged from the taking-out pipe 6, while the steam of decreased temperature is supplied from the temperature decreasing steam pipe 3 to the steam application equipment 4. |
