PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating drive unit which can cope with resource saving by being reduced in weight, and can suppress axial displacement between an output shaft of a planetary gear transmission and a driven body shaft.SOLUTION: In a photoreceptor drive unit 10 having a motor 20, a planetary gear reduction device 30 and a drum shaft 50 for transmitting a rotational drive force outputted from an output shaft 30 of the planetary gear reduction device 30 to a photoreceptor drum 1, a material of an internal gear 32 of the planetary gear reduction device 30 is formed of resin, and the photoreceptor drum 1 side of the internal gear 32 is constituted so as to be elastically deformable in the radial direction, and a positioning part 91 is arranged which regulates a relative position of the planetary gear reduction device 30 with respect to the drum shaft 50 of the output shaft 40 to a position in which the output shaft 40 of the planetary gear transmission 30 becomes substantially coaxial with the drum shaft 50. |
