摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element having great enhancement of light based on a surface plasmon excited by irradiation with light.SOLUTION: An optical element 100 includes a metal layer 10 having a thickness direction as a first direction, metal particles 30 spaced from the metal layer 10 in the first direction, and a light-transmitting layer 20 that separates the metal particles 30 from the metal layer 10. The metal particles 30 are arranged into a lattice pattern in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction and in a third direction orthogonal to the first and second directions, in which an interval in the second direction and an interval in the third direction are the same interval S satisfying the relationship of 6 nm<S<40 nm.</p>
