PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte for lithium secondary battery use and a lithium secondary battery including the electrolyte.SOLUTION: An electrolyte for lithium secondary battery use comprises: a lithium salt; a non-aqueous organic solvent; and an additive agent. In the electrolyte, the additive agent contains a compound expressed by the chemical formula 1. A lithium secondary battery comprises the electrolyte. The chemical formula 1 has a structure and a definition as described in the specification hereof. An electrolyte for lithium secondary battery use and a lithium secondary battery including the electrolyte according to embodiments of the invention are superior in lifetime characteristics and thermal stability.
