PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pier structure and a construction method thereof, capable of surely holding a joint material against a tidal wave in a typhoon and a strong wind, in a pier of installing the joint material in a joint between adjacent concrete floorboards, by installing the concrete floorboard on the upper end of a foundation column driven into a sea bottom foundation.SOLUTION: A protective plate 23 abuts on an under surface of the concrete floorboard 3 in a state of being pulled from above by a suspending-lowering member 22, and the lower end of the joint 11 is blocked up by this protective plate 22, and cuts off an infiltration of the tidal wave into the joint 11. |
