PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment operating device that allows an explanation mode to be freely viewed without troublesome operation.SOLUTION: An equipment operating device comprises: a display 5 for displaying a standby screen showing a status of an equipment body and the like; switches including a determination switch 10 and a return switch 12; and an explanation mode for displaying on the display 5 an explanation relating to a function of the equipment body, and allows an explanation screen of the explanation mode to change to a setting screen of the function. The explanation mode displays on the display 5 a list screen showing an item list 15 of the function whose explanation is desired to be displayed, displays an explanation screen showing an explanatory text corresponding to a selection item when the selection item is determined from among the list 15 by switching operation, and displays a setting screen that allows setting of a function to change when the determination switch 10 is operated in an explanation screen relating to changes in setting of a function. In the explanation screen and the setting screen, the return switch 12 is operated to return to the list screen. |
