PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital watermark embedding method and a digital watermark detecting method for maintaining the image quality of a digital watermark embedded image, securing resistance and fastening digital watermark detection in a well balanced manner.SOLUTION: One or more specific small regions are provided in an image, two or more basic regions symmetrical to an attention point are included in the specific small region, and a digital watermark is embedded in the image while avoiding the specific small regions, thereby creating a digital watermark embedded image. A shape of the specific small region in which the digital watermark is not embedded is detected, a position of the center of gravity of the specific small region is computed as an attention point, and geometrical deformation correction is performed on the image on the basis of a position within the image corresponding to the one or more attention points, thereby detecting the digital watermark from any other place than the specific small region. |
