PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high speed turn-on and turn-off with a small number of power supplies.SOLUTION: A gate drive circuit 100 includes a power supply 102, a semiconductor switching element, a turn-on capacitor C1 having a positive electrode connected with the gate terminal of the semiconductor switching element, a turn-off capacitor C2 having a negative electrode connected with the gate terminal, and a timing control section 110 which applies the voltage of a power supply 102 to the gate terminal, when there is a turn-on command, discharges the turn-on capacitor C1 charged and applying a positive voltage due to discharge to the gate terminal, grounds the gate terminal when there is a turn-off command, discharges the turn-off capacitor C2 charged with a negative voltage and applies the negative voltage due to discharge to the gate terminal. |
