PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a rotary component in which a rotating body and a rotation shaft can be surely and accurately fixed; a movement; a timepiece; and a method of manufacturing the rotary component.SOLUTION: A rotary component includes: an escapement gear portion 101 made of a material having a crystal orientation; and a shaft member 102 inserted to a through hole 115 of the escapement gear portion 101 and fixed to the escapement gear portion 101 via a connection body 110. An inner surface of the through hole 115 is formed by consecutively providing a plurality of first slopes 116 which are inclined relative to an axial direction of the shaft member 102 and are formed of crystal faces of the material, along a circumferential direction of the shaft member 102, and a plurality of second slopes 133 having the same angle as the first slopes are formed on an outer peripheral surface of the connection body 110 correspondingly to the first slopes 116. The connection body 110 is fixed to the shaft member 102, and is located within the through hole 115 in a state where the second slopes 133 are in contact with the first slopes 116.
