PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular equipment function addition system in which a function corresponding to the desire of a user can be added easily without restricting the function of vehicular equipment that can be added.SOLUTION: When a new function expansion module 15 is fitted to a fitting slot 14, a smart JB 11 determines whether the module is a function expansion module which needs confirmation of driver's intention or not (S2). In a case of a function expansion module which needs the confirmation, a confirmation message is displayed on a multifunctional display 17 in a meter panel 8 (S3). When the smart JB 11 accepts a direction input which makes the new function expansion module effective by driver's operation of a steering switch 16, addition of a vehicular equipment function by the new function expansion module 15 is made effective, to send the direction to an ECU 30 etc. |
