PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive system allowing an idle stop mechanism to be provided in a main driving system and capable of keeping running stability in four-wheel driving of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A drive system 1 comprises: a main driving system 7 provided on a front wheel 3, 3 side and using an engine 5 as a drive source; a sub-driving system 15 provided on a rear wheel 9, 9 side and using, as a drive source, a motor 13 operated by electric power which is supplied from a generator 11 driven by the engine 5; and a drive mode select switch 17 selecting a two-wheel drive mode of driving only the main driving system 7 or a four-wheel drive mode of driving the main driving system 7 and the sub-driving system 15. The main driving system 7 is provided with an idle stop mechanism 19 which restarts the engine 5 in a stopped state, and the idle stop mechanism 19 is operated when the drive mode select switch 17 selects the two-wheel drive mode. |
