PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting coil which shows excellent resistance against an external force, such as an electromagnetic force and shrinkage force, and can maintain excellent superconducting characteristics, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A tape-like superconducting wire 11 is formed by forming a superconductive layer composed of a rare earth-based oxide superconductor on a substrate and providing an insulating coating layer on the outermost surface of the wire 11. On an outer surface of the insulating coating layer, a release layer is formed. The superconducting wire 11 is wound to form a coil 21, and the coil 21 is impregnated with thermosetting resin. By impregnation of the thermosetting resin, thermosetting resin layers 22 are formed between superconducting wires 11 and on an end surface of the coil 21. A first reinforcing plate 23 and a second reinforcing plate 24 are adhered to both end surfaces of the coil 21 respectively with the thermosetting resin layers 22. |
