PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having excellent characteristics.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 1 includes a positive electrode case, a negative electrode case (7) fixed to the positive electrode case, and forming a housing space (10) between the positive electrode case and the negative electrode case, a positive electrode provided in the positive electrode case of the housing space, and containing a lithium compound as a positive electrode active material, a negative electrode (12) provided in the negative electrode case (7) of the housing space (10), and containing SiOx (0≤x<2) as a negative electrode active material, and a nonaqueous electrolyte housed in the housing space. The negative electrode case (7) includes a base layer (20), and a nickel layer (21) arranged on the reverse side of the housing space (10) for the base layer (20), and having a heat conductivity higher than that of the base layer (20), and a thickness of 2.6 μm or more. |
