PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell separator high in hydrophilic properties and maintaining the hydrophilic properties for a long period of time.SOLUTION: A fuel cell separator is obtained by subjecting a surface of a compact to surface roughening treatment, then infrared beam laser irradiation treatment, and further hydrophilizing treatment, the compact being formed by molding a composition containing graphite powder, an epoxy resin and a phenol resin. The fuel cell separator includes characteristics of (1) an initial static contact angle is 20° or below and (2) a static contact angle after having been preserved in the atmosphere for 3,000 hours after manufacturing is 30° or below. |
