PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat source part control technique for a decoloring apparatus which allows power saving, stable processing without leaving non-decolored area and reduction of processing time.SOLUTION: The decoloring apparatus has first and second heated parts, first and second heat source parts and a control part. The first and second heated parts decolor an image prepared with color materials which can be decolored by heating. The first and second heat source part heat the first and second heated parts. The control part, in a second mode, causes the first and second heat source parts to preheat the first and second heated parts at least to a temperature at which decoloring can be performed, then reduces an output of a heat source part corresponding to a heated part on the side of a non-decoloring object surface to a level below an output for maintaining the heated part at the temperature at which decoloring can be performed, and on the other hand causes the other heat source part corresponding to the other heated part on the side of the coloring object surface to heat this heated part so as to cause this heated part perform decoloring processing of the decoloring object surface of a sheet. |
