PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine capable of accurately specifying a cylinder in which abnormal combustion such as back fire has occurred.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine detects abnormal combustion of a specific cylinder (a second cylinder in a figure) of a plurality of cylinders on the basis of fluctuation of cylinder determination information obtained by executing cylinder determination from a crank angle signal and a cam angle signal and intake pipe pressure obtained from an intake temperature/intake pressure signal (e), and measures a frequency of detecting abnormal combustion of the specific cylinder. When the frequency is a predetermined frequency or more, the internal combustion engine determines abnormality of an injector to be a combustion injection device provided in the specific cylinder. |
