PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a hydrogenated cyclic olefin ring-opened polymer suitable for an optical material by efficiently separating a ring-opened polymer from a catalyst.SOLUTION: The method for producing a hydrogenated cyclic olefin ring-opened polymer comprises: ring-opening and polymerizing a polycyclic norbornene monomer in a hydrocarbon solvent; bringing a polyhydric alcohol into contact with the obtained reaction solution; then bringing a layer inorganic compound into contact with the solution; filtering; and hydrogenating the ring-opened polymer by use of a homogeneous catalyst. |
