PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for efficiently producing high purity acrylic acids by supplying molecular oxygen for inhibiting polymerization further effectively into a process liquid flow in production of the acrylic acids.SOLUTION: In a method for producing (meth)acrylic acid or an ester thereof comprising a step of purifying a process liquid containing (meth)acrylic acid or an ester thereof by introducing the same to a distillation column, a part of the process liquid is extracted from a process liquid flow, the extracted liquid and an oxygen-containing gas is mixed in a volume ratio of 5:1 to 1:5 in a static mixer to form a gas-liquid mixed flow, and the gas-liquid mixed flow is supplied to the distillation column. |
