PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To free workers from the tip-top standing works and to reduce worker's burdens by the use of a synchronous carriage.SOLUTION: The synchronous carriage which is used in a vehicle assembly line, in which workers assemble parts to vehicles currently conveyed and which is movable synchronously with the vehicles, includes a synchronous carriage body 12, a step ladder 30 constituted so as to be able to move to an operating position which projects to the synchronous carriage body 12 from the standby position which overlaps in planar mode with the synchronous carriage body 12, an energizing mechanism in which power is applied in the direction which projects the step ladder 30 from the standby position to the operating position, a step ladder keeping mechanism which keeps the step ladder 30 to the standby position against the power of the energizing mechanism, and a lock release mechanism constituted such that the maintenance state of the step ladder keeping mechanism can be canceled in response to a worker's operation force. |
