PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a measurement preparation work of a ground resistance to be performed within a short time and to allow a measurement of a ground electrode to be accurately performed by a ground resistance meter.SOLUTION: A portable terminal 1 specifies a current position based on signals from a GPS satellite, and sets a current position specified by an operation of the GPS satellite by a user as a position of a ground electrode (E) to be measured, and after that, sets a position separated from the ground electrode (E) to be measured by prescribed distance as a position of a first auxiliary ground electrode (C), sets the position which is on the same straight line as the straight line connecting the position of the ground electrode (E) to be measured and the position of the first auxiliary ground electrode (C) as the position of a second auxiliary ground electrode (P), and makes a position showing the location of the first auxiliary ground electrode (C) and/or the point showing the location of the second auxiliary ground electrode (P) overlap and display in a display part 14.
