PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope excellent in observation performance while preventing an increase in load on the built-in objects of the endoscope.SOLUTION: An endoscope comprises: an insertion part 2 including a leading-end hard part 2a with an observation window 9b at the leading-end face thereof, a curve part 2b arranged on the basal-end side of the leading-end hard part 2a, and a flexible tube part 2c arranged on the basal-end side of the curve part 2b; and an operation part arranged on the basal-end side of the flexible tube part 2c and having a vertical nob configured to curve the curve part 2b. When the curve part 2b is not curved by the vertical nob, a first plane including a longitudinal center axis 2aA of the leading-end hard part 2a has a parallel position relation with a second plane including a longitudinal center axis 2cA of the flexible tube part 2c and is displaced in a lower curving direction opposite to an upper curving direction in which the curve part 2b is curved most frequently. |
