PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillating element with which parasitic oscillation is suppressed in a resonant tunnel diode oscillator or the like using a plasmon waveguide as a resonator.SOLUTION: An oscillating element includes: a resonance part 110 including a first conductor layer 102, a negative resistance part 103 having a gain against an electromagnetic wave, and a second conductor layer which are laminated in the order therein; and a capacitance part 109 connected electrically parallel to the resonance part. At a resonance frequency by internal capacitance of the resonance part and inductance included in the capacitance part and a wire 108 connecting the capacitance part to the resonance part, conductance formed by resistance, capacitance and the inductance included in the wire and the capacitance part is equal to or more than the absolute value of the conductance of the negative resistance part. |
