PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser protective material used for a laser protective filter having an effective wavelength range.SOLUTION: A laser protective material comprises a matrix material (2) of plastic which is transparent in an effective wavelength range, and an absorbent material (3) which is embedded into the matrix material (2) in a substantially uniform form. The absorbent material (3) absorbs laser radiation (4) in the effective wavelength range and loses its absorption capacity in the effective wavelength range when heated to a temperature above a threshold temperature. The plastic of the matrix material (2) starts to foam when heated to a temperature above the threshold temperature. |
