PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst particle which has superior durability even though containing a reduced amount of a noble metal.SOLUTION: A catalyst particle (1) has a mixed particle of a noble metal particle (3) containing a noble metal (2) and a non-noble metal particle (5) containing a metal (4) except a noble metal. In addition, an oxide (6) of the metal except the noble metal exists on a surface of the non-noble metal particle (5). The oxide (6) of the metal except the noble metal is an amorphous substance. The catalyst particle has such a structure and accordingly can enhance durability while reducing an amount of a noble metal.
