PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide film for an ultra-slim liquid crystal backlight capable of achieving reduction in thickness and suppressing reduction in luminance and its unevenness, an ultra-slim liquid crystal backlight unit, and a portable computer.SOLUTION: A light guide film for an ultra-slim liquid crystal backlight according to the present invention is a light guide film for an ultra-slim liquid crystal backlight that substantially uniformly emits light rays incident from an edge face from a front face and has the average thickness of 600 μm or less. The surface of the light guide film or the surface and the rear surface of it have wavy fine modulation structures, and intervals between ridge lines in the fine modulation structures are preferably 1 to 500 mm. Further, the average height of the ridge lines, based on an approximate virtual surface where a plurality of valley lines pass in the fine modulation structures, are preferably 5 to 40 μm. |
