PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a webbing winding device capable of switching a mode where deformation occurs in an energy absorbing member with a mode where deformation does not occur in the energy absorbing member without worsening the usual feeling.SOLUTION: The webbing winding device has a construction where, in a state where a regulation wall of a cam gear 244 is positioned beside a pin 306 of a link 284 constructing switching means, the regulation wall contacts to the pin 306 when the link 284 moves, thus, even if the cam gear 244 executes any number of rotation, the regulation wall does not actively move the link 284. Therefore, any operation noise of the link 284, a stopper pawl 218 and a slide stopper 302 consisting of the switching means is not generated due to usual drawing or winding of a webbing, and thus providing excellent feeling upon usual drawing or winding of the webbing. |
