<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer that reduces a pressure fluctuation of ink and includes a small and light circulation type ink supply passage.SOLUTION: An ink supply system for an ink jet printer includes a recirculation tank 101 connected to a recirculation pump 111 configured so as to generate a flow of ink substantially without a pulsating flow. A heating unit 115 having an ink tube formed in a spiral shape that makes thermal contact with at least one heating element receives ink from the recirculation pump 111, and sends it out to a sensor unit block 103 equipped with a temperature sensor and a pressure sensor for measuring characteristics of the ink when the ink enters a print head and when the ink is returned from the print head. The returned ink is transferred to the recirculation tank 101, and from there, the recirculation pump 111 draws the recirculation ink. In order to keep the inside of the recirculation tank 101 substantially vacuum, an air pump is connected to the recirculation tank 101.</p> |
