PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure excellent positioning accuracy and fixing strength while improving workability in mounting a component to a device body.SOLUTION: A positioning unit performs positioning with respect to the body of an image forming apparatus 1 in an upper front cover 92 which includes a fixing unit 93 to be fixed to the body of the image forming apparatus with a fastening member such as a screw. The positioning unit includes: a first projection 94 which engages with a first projection receiving part 91a formed on the body side of the image forming apparatus to perform lateral and longitudinal positioning; and a second projection 95 which engages with a second projection receiving part 91b formed on the body side of the image forming apparatus to perform positioning in a vertical direction of the image forming apparatus.
