PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve location accuracy between a rotation fulcrum and a positioning surface of a separation plate holder in a recording medium separation configuration attached along a fixing device higher than a conventional configuration.SOLUTION: A fixing device has a recording medium separation configuration provided on the downstream side in a recording medium conveyance direction of a nip part that is formed by pressure contact between two rotating bodies. The recording medium separation configuration includes: a separation plate holder that extends in a longitudinal direction of the rotating bodies, has a rotation fulcrum on both ends in the longitudinal direction, and is urged by spring against one of the rotating bodies with a positioning surface formed in a range on both ends in the longitudinal direction; and separation plates that are held with respect to one of the rotating bodies in a non-contact manner by the separation plate holder. The separation plate holder is formed of a sheet metal, and its positioning surface is folded at one side to provide a flange surface having the rotation fulcrum. |
