PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a (meth)acrylic acid ester stably and efficiently over a long period of time by preventing blocking operation trouble in reboiler of a heavy component decomposer in which a (meth)acrylic acid ester and a heavy component are separated by distillation from an esterification solution containing a (meth)acrylic acid ester obtained by reacting (meth)acrylic acid and alcohol in the presence of an acid catalyst and the heavy component is decomposed and esterified to collect valuable materials.SOLUTION: When a valuable material containing a (meth)acrylic acid ester and alcohol is collected by introducing a mixed liquid of a heavy component and an acid catalyst-containing liquid into a heavy component decomposer, followed by subjecting to decomposition and esterification, the acid catalyst concentration is set to satisfy the following conditions (1) and/or (2): (1) the acid catalyst concentration of the acid catalyst-containing liquid is 28 wt.% or less and (2) the acid catalyst concentration of the mixed solution is 1 to 3 wt.%. |
