PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferronickel smelting method which can increase production of ferronickel by improving an actual yield of sintered mine while avoiding the occurrence of trouble such as shutdown in ferronickel smelting.SOLUTION: Firing treatment is performed while a temperature of sintered mine at a discharge end 1B of a rotary kiln 1 is maintained at 800-900°C, sintered masses generated in the rotary kiln 1 are separated from produced sintered mine, treatment of cracking and sieving the sintered masses and/or treatment of crushing and sieving the sintered masses are/is performed, and the undersize material obtained after the sieving is transferred to an electric furnace. |
