PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain excellent printing suppressing contamination and fogging.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus of the present invention comprises: an electrostatic latent image carrier which forms a developer image by a developer; a developer carrier which supplies the developer to the electrostatic latent image carrier; a charging application member which applies electric charge onto the electrostatic latent image carrier; a charging application member power source which changeably supplies a voltage to the charging application member; a transfer member which transfers the developer from the electrostatic latent image carrier; transfer current detection means which detects a current between the electrostatic latent image carrier and the transfer member when a voltage is changed supplied from the charging application member power source to the charging application member; and a control part which forms an image by controlling a voltage of charging application member power source on the basis of a detection result of the transfer current detection means. |
