PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature detecting device and a temperature detection system that can detect a surface temperature with high accuracy, a bearing pad, a bearing device and a rotary machine.SOLUTION: There is provided the temperature detecting device including a device body provided in a hole formed in the surface of a member. The device body includes: a lid part made of electric conductive material having a higher coefficient of thermal conductivity than that of the surface of the member and having a first surface in flush with the surface; a holder which is fixed to a second surface opposite to the first surface of the lid part, is made of insulating material of higher heat insulating property than that of the lid material, and inside which a closed space closed by the second surface is defined; filling material which is filled into the closed space and is made of dielectric material of which dielectric constant changes with the temperature change; and an electrostatic capacitance sensor which is arranged so as to hold the holder and the filling material between the electrostatic capacitance sensor and the lid part and which detects electrostatic capacitance up to the second surface.
