PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement flyback voltage detection without using voltage dividing resistors.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device includes: an output terminal (OUT); a first transistor (2) for driving an inductance load connected to the output terminal; a dynamic clamp circuit (8) for clamping a flyback voltage generated when the first transistor turns off; and a disconnection detection circuit (7) for detecting a disconnection of a path from the output terminal to the inductance load. The disconnection detection circuit includes a second transistor (3) capable of outputting an external disconnection detection result of the path from the output terminal to the inductance load. The second transistor is controlled on/off by a voltage tapped from the dynamic clamp circuit. This dispenses with voltage dividing resistors for monitoring the flyback voltage. |
