PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure conductivity reliably between a wire and a terminal for wire, while facilitating manufacture of the terminal for wire and a terminal with a wire.SOLUTION: A terminal for wire 100 includes a tubular portion 30 surrounding a hollow section for inserting a wire. The tubular portion 30 has a pressing portion 31 for applying a pressure externally toward the wire so as to fix the wire to the terminal for wire 100, and a non-pressing portion 32. The non-pressing portion 32 has an abutting portion 33. Tip of the wire abuts against the abutting portion 33 when the wire is stretched in the axial direction depending on the pressured applied to the pressing portion 31. The abutting portion 33 has a thin wall part 33c in which a recess 33b, formed in a surface in contact with the wire, is defined.
