PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus capable of recovering ink mist floating inside the apparatus quickly and efficiently.SOLUTION: A recording apparatus includes: a recording head for jetting ink onto a recording medium; a carriage including the recording head and enabled to move in a scanning direction of the recording head; a hollow shaft extended in the scanning direction; and a control part for controlling the movement of the carriage. Further, the hollow shaft includes: a first opening disposed at an edge portion in the scanning direction; and a second opening disposed at the other edge portion. Further, the control part has a control mode for moving the carriage from the second opening side to the first opening side in the scanning direction at a first speed, followed by moving the carriage from the first opening side to the second opening side at a second speed that is slower than the first speed. |
