PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote vehicle starter that is adapted to a plug-in hybrid vehicle, can reliably start an engine even in a charged state, and can prevent erroneous takeoff by a user or vehicle robbing takeoff by any person other than the user after the engine is started.SOLUTION: A relay switch 106 (first relay switch) is interrupted in a charged state detection circuit of a vehicle 101, and the charged state detection circuit is opened through remote control in order to start an engine. After the engine is started, the circuit is made for fear the vehicle may enter a travel enabled state while being charged. Even after the engine is started, if a second relay switch 107 is intervened between a power control unit 104 of the vehicle and a travel mode selection unit 108 in order to break a circuit for a travel mode selection signal, any person other than a user is prevented from causing the vehicle to make a transition to the travel enabled state. |
