PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a metal complex-supporting mesoporous material, by which a metal complex can be supported in pores of a mesoporous material without being aggregated, to provide a metal complex-supporting mesoporous material in which a metal complex is supported in pores of the mesoporous material without being aggregated, and to provide a method for producing a metal-containing nano-particle-supporting mesoporous material, in which a metal complex supported in pores of the mesoporous material is used as a template.SOLUTION: A metal complex of a phenylazomethine dendrimer compound is supported on a mesoporous material by bringing a solution of a metal complex formed by using a phenylazomethine dendrimer compound having a specific structure into contact with the meso-porous material.
