PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device capable of effectively reducing a speckle.SOLUTION: An illumination device (2b) includes: a light source device (7); a superposition optical system (10) to which light is made incident from the light source device; and an optical path shift device (9) for temporally changing the incident position of the light emitted from the light source device to the superimposition optical system.
