<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reducing the size of a test pattern.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: image forming means that forms a reference pattern and a test pattern on a sheet; measurement means that detects the reference pattern formed on the sheet, and measures the test pattern formed on the sheet; and correction means that corrects color or corrects density in accordance with the result of measurement of the test pattern by the measurement means. The correction means determines measurement timing of the test pattern in accordance with a detection interval between two reference patterns detected by the measurement means.</p> |
